Published on
With the action RPG coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is powering up a new platform. In a trailer released during the Tokyo Game Show (see below), Bandai Namco revealed that the new release will be coming next year, along with DLC for the retelling of the DBZ movie Bardock: Father Goku.
Bandai Namco also confirmed that owners of the previous-gen version will get the current version for free. Meanwhile, the official Dragon Ball game Twitter account posted a video comparing the upcoming PS5 version with the PS4 version, showing the next-gen version running at 60 FPS and featuring enhanced visuals.
Additionally, with the reveal of the Season 2 Pass, more DLC is coming to Kakarot. Will fans reenact the recent superhero movie or the Black Goku saga? We’ll have to wait and see what happens. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but based on previous DLC packs, it’s safe to assume the Bardock content will cost $10, while the season pass will set you back $30.
