I am so close! The priority date for my EB-2 application to register for permanent residence is only 9 days away from the date listed in the September 2022 Visa Bulletin, but now more than two years have passed since the date in the October 2022 Visa Bulletin!
I’m a software engineer trying to get a green card before changing jobs, but now I’m rethinking my path. The only thing that makes me hesitate is that I’ve heard that employees are fined if they leave their employer before they actually get their green card.
