Unless you’ve just woken up from a week-long slumber, you’ve probably heard of the leaked GTA 6 video and screenshots. You may have even seen some before Rockstar started purging them from the internet. Even if you do see them, sharing them is a risky thing to do. That’s why some die-hard GTA fans have been experimenting with MS Paint for game maps.

With screenshots largely gone and the potential legal consequences for sharing them, GTA fans have been recreating them and trying to piece them together using paint, math and even Google Earth, replacing screenshots in satellite imagery that they don’t allow exploits .
It’s a time-consuming process, which is why GTA Church and other unofficial cartographers of GTA 6 work hard for Discord. There, map makers are free to check out any screenshots and clips they can still find to make entertainment that GTA 6 seems to be set in Sin City a lot easier. As you can see below, what they’ve managed to piece together so far is pretty remarkable.
As expected, the map is large. The odds are GTA 6’s Sin City, any other place players can visit will be much bigger than Los Santos. Some of the leaks include coordinates, along with engine measurements used in GTA 5, that have GTA Church and everyone else trying to map the game to roughly determine the size of Vice City and surrounding areas.
This is actually quite common in GTA circles. Fans did the same when Rockstar released the first trailer for GTA 5. In that case, the task was a little easier because there was an official source that wasn’t quickly removed. The map they drew ten years ago is actually pretty close to the real one, so there’s a good chance the map above will be pretty much what GTA 6 looked like when it launched. According to Rockstar, the launch was not delayed by the leak.
